Dog Training ABCs is maintained by Pam Neely who is completely in love with her shelter dog Rufus and has been for three years.

Rufus is very high energy, and very smart, so its been both a necessity and a treat to train him. He's also got a lot of issues with protectiveness around other dogs (even after going to doggie day care once a week), so Pam and Rufus do a lot of work "on the trial" helping Rufus be a mellow dog. They also practice by going to outdoor lunch and coffee places, and by making sure Rufus gets to play with the one "doggie friend" he has in the neighborhood once a week.

Pam and Rufus have worked with several different trainers, all of whom have taught them excellent things. Pam is on the fence about becoming a dog trainer right now... but if she $4000 and the time, she'd do it.
